Most job listings promise a “great culture.” Usually that means a coffee machine and a group chat nobody reads. We’d rather show you what it actually looks like here.
Ocean Drive Marketing works in live brand engagement. Our people spend their days talking with real customers, in real places, on behalf of brands that care about how they’re represented. It’s demanding work. You’re on your feet, you’re reading people, and you’re adjusting in real time. Work like that changes the people who do it together.
You don’t go through the day alone
In a typical office job, you can go weeks without really knowing the person two desks over. That doesn’t happen when you work crowds side by side. You see how your teammate handles a tough conversation. They see you shake off a rough start and nail the next one. Small wins get celebrated in the moment, not months later in a review.
By the end of a long day, you’ve been through something together. That’s where most friendships here start. Nobody needs an icebreaker when you’ve just spent eight hours on the same team.
Team nights
After the work is done, we make time for each other on purpose. Team nights are a chance to slow down, see people outside of work mode, and trade stories from the day. Some of the most useful advice about handling a tricky situation comes up over dinner, not in a training room.
They matter a lot for new people, too. It’s much easier to ask for help at work when you were laughing with that person the night before.
Conferences
Growth is a big part of how we operate. Conferences give the team a chance to step back from the daily routine and hear from people who have built something real. You come home with new ideas. Better yet, you come home with teammates who heard the same things you did, so you can actually put those ideas to work together.
Travel
Travel is part of the experience here as well. Being on the road with your team is a different kind of bonding. You figure out new cities together, share early flights and long drives, and quickly learn who’s great with directions and who always finds the best food. It’s hard to stay strangers after a trip like that.
The standards are what make it work
None of this would mean much without a solid foundation. We care about preparation, presence, consistency, and steady improvement. Feedback here is specific and meant to help you get better, not to make you feel small. Everyone owns their part of the experience.
That foundation is exactly why the fun parts feel good. When everyone holds the same standard, you trust the people around you. And trust is what turns coworkers into friends.
So why doesn’t it feel like a regular job?
Because a regular job is something you clock in and out of. Here, you grow alongside people who are pushing in the same direction. The paycheck matters, of course it does. But plenty of people stay for the team, the experiences, and the person they become along the way. If that sounds like the kind of place you want to be, we’d love to meet you.
